What is it?
Claude Academy collects Anthropic's AI training into one public site at academy.claude.com. It opens with two full courses — 'AI Fluency: Framework & Foundations' (14 lessons, one quiz, about 4 hours) and 'AI Capabilities and Limitations' (13 lessons, one quiz, about 3.5 hours) — plus a 7-minute tutorial called 'The 4 Properties of AI'. Five product tracks cover Claude.ai, Claude Cowork, Claude Code, Claude Tag and the Claude Platform.
How does it work?
Lessons are grouped around real problems and by department, so a legal team can open a collection of legal use cases. A Claude Academy Skill inside Claude recommends what to study next, and finishing a course awards a completion badge that tracks progress. Anthropic says the material mirrors the onboarding it gives its own employees and teaches what it calls the 4D AI Fluency Framework.
Why does it matter?
Most teams now get Claude access long before they get any training in it. A vendor-written course hub gives managers a shared starting point instead of ad-hoc internal decks, and gives individuals a path from 'I have an account' to knowing what the tool can and cannot do. The courses are reachable from academy.claude.com or the 'Learn more' tab in a Claude profile.
