ElevenMusic Goes Live — Fully Licensed AI Music Creation, Streaming and Remixing With Artist Payouts
ElevenLabs relaunches ElevenMusic as a full creation-and-streaming platform — generate songs from prompts, remix existing tracks, stream from a 4,000-artist catalog, and route royalties through Merlin and Kobalt licenses.

ElevenLabs flips ElevenMusic from a text-to-song generator into a full streaming-plus-creation platform with licensed catalogs and artist royalties.

What is it?
ElevenMusic is ElevenLabs' AI music platform, now relaunched as a unified service for listening, remixing, and original creation. Users can generate new tracks from prompts, lyrics, or moods; remix existing songs by adjusting genre and tempo; or browse a discovery feed of about 4,000 emerging artists. It runs on iOS and on the web at elevenmusic.io.
How does it work?
Generation runs on the Eleven Music model that ElevenLabs introduced in August 2025, trained on tracks licensed through Merlin, Kobalt, and SourceAudio. Artists upload originals or remixes and earn from a royalty pool weighted by listener engagement, modeled on the same payout structure ElevenLabs uses for its voice library. Free users can create up to seven songs per day; a $9.99/month Pro tier raises the cap to 500 tracks.
Why does it matter?
Suno and Udio shipped consumer AI music apps but spent most of the last year fighting copyright lawsuits. ElevenLabs is using its existing label deals to launch a competing platform with a clean licensing story and a path for artists to get paid — which makes it the first AI music platform that labels are actively distributing through rather than suing.
Who is it for?
Music creators, ElevenLabs users, indie artists.
