## How it works

The round was led by Parkway Venture Capital, with participation from Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Brookfield, Greycroft, ARK Invest, Prime Movers Lab, Align Ventures and Tamarack Global. Hark, which spent eight months in stealth on $100M of Adcock's own seed money, employs about 45 engineers and designers poached from Apple, Meta, Google, Tesla and Amazon, including ex-Apple iPhone Air industrial designer Abidur Chowdhury. The company plans to ship multimodal models this summer, with dedicated AI devices to follow.

The raise is one of the largest Series A rounds ever for a consumer-AI startup and lines Hark up against OpenAI/Jony Ive's io, Apple, Meta and Google in the race to build AI-native personal hardware.
