What is it?
On June 11, 2026, Anthropic and DXC Technology announced a multi-year global alliance to embed Claude into the mission-critical enterprise systems DXC operates for the world's largest banks, airlines, insurers, manufacturers, and government agencies. DXC — a 115,000-person IT-services firm spanning 70 countries — joins the Claude Partner Network as one of the few Global Premier partners. The alliance builds on DXC's own internal Claude deployment.
How does it work?
DXC will selectively recruit engineers from its existing workforce into a 90-day Anthropic Partner Academy program with daily Claude access, progressing engineers through levels of proficiency for designing, deploying, and governing agentic AI systems inside regulated environments. The four initial focus areas are insurance (agentic core-system modernization), Modernization as a Service (legacy codebase refactoring), cybersecurity (security operations using Claude's security capabilities), and application services (maintenance and management). The alliance leans on DXC's recent experience building DXC OASIS — its AI-native managed-services orchestration platform launched in April 2026 — for which DXC reports more than 95% of the code was generated by Claude before human review, contributing to a roughly 10x acceleration in software delivery; OASIS now runs at more than 50 customers.
Why does it matter?
Mission-critical regulated systems — bank cores, airline operations, insurance back offices — are among the hardest places to put a frontier LLM into production because of compliance, audit, and reliability constraints. A long-standing systems integrator with deep contracts in those segments doing the integration legwork moves Claude into markets that will not adopt an LLM through self-serve API alone. For Anthropic, the deal is a counter to Microsoft's enterprise OpenAI moat and to Accenture's enterprise GenAI partnerships; for DXC, it is a leverage play on its existing managed-services book; for customers, it is a vetted Claude rollout path with governance and security wrapped around it.
