Mistral Studio — prompts and skills get versioning, rollback, and audit logs

Mistral Studio now tracks every prompt and skill as an immutable asset with a named owner, an audit log, and one-click rollback, so teams can trace exactly which version is running in production.

What is it?

Prompts and Skills in Mistral Studio now live as tracked assets at console.mistral.ai. Each one has immutable versions, a named owner, classification labels, and a full change log — instead of instructions scattered across code repos and chat threads.

How does it work?

Every save writes a new immutable version and leaves the previous one intact, so teams can diff, compare, or roll back with one click. Change attribution and audit metadata are stamped on each save, and skills run through Mistral's MCP server so live behaviour ties back to a specific asset version.

Why does it matter?

The Studio update closes a common enterprise gap: most teams could not say which prompt was actually serving production traffic, which made incidents hard to trace. Observability now points from a live conversation back to the exact prompt or skill version that produced it.

Who is it for?

Mistral Studio teams shipping production prompts and agents.

Try it

Open Mistral Studio, edit any prompt or skill — the new version history and audit log appear alongside it (see the Reusable Prompt quickstart in Mistral's docs).
