Overview
Talorys is a free, open-source personal AI assistant that runs inside your own Cloudflare account. Its developers run no server, database or account of their own: one `npx create-talorys@latest` command deploys the whole app into your account, and everything it stores stays there. It is written in TypeScript under the MIT licence and is built for one person — the installer sets a single owner password, and there is no signup.

The assistant combines streaming chat with a small personal workspace. It keeps a memory of personal facts and preferences that you can view, edit and delete, and only the most relevant memories are sent to the model on each turn. Tasks, notes and projects can be managed in the UI or by asking in chat, and automations cover one-time and recurring reminders, daily task digests and optional AI routines, delivered to an in-app notification center.

Under the hood a Cloudflare Pages site serves the React app and an `/api` Pages Function, which forwards requests over a service binding to a private Worker with no public URL. The Worker routes to `TalorysAgent`, a Durable Object with SQLite storage that uses Workers AI for chat and Durable Object alarms for scheduling; replies stream as Server-Sent Events. It uses only Pages, Workers, Durable Objects and Workers AI, and is designed to fit the Workers Free plan — when the daily AI quota runs out, chat pauses until the reset while tasks, notes, memories and reminders keep working.
What it does
- One-command install with `npx create-talorys@latest`: checks Node.js, handles the Cloudflare login, stores the owner password as a secret, deploys and prints your site URL
- Streaming chat with Markdown and tool activity indicators
- Editable memory of personal facts and preferences, with only the most relevant ones sent to the model each turn
- Tasks, notes and projects managed in the UI or through chat

- One-time and recurring reminders, daily task digests and optional AI routines in an in-app notification center
- Settings to cap output tokens, context, tool calls and daily AI requests, plus JSON export and import of your data
- No telemetry or analytics; data stays in your Cloudflare account
Getting started
You need Node.js 20.18 or newer and a Cloudflare account. The installer works on the Workers Free plan, but Cloudflare's daily free-tier quotas apply.
Install into your Cloudflare account
Run the installer. It logs you in to Cloudflare, asks for an owner password, deploys the resources and prints your site URL. Re-running it after an interruption resumes setup without deleting data.
npx create-talorys@latestOr install non-interactively
Pass the owner password and account ID for scripted installs. An API token needs Workers Scripts, Pages, Workers AI and Account Settings permissions.
TALORYS_OWNER_PASSWORD=... npx create-talorys@latest --yes --account-id <id>Update or reset
The same package updates an existing install or resets the owner password.
npx create-talorys@latest update
npx create-talorys@latest reset-passwordDevelop locally
Local development uses a mock AI provider and a local dev password, so no Cloudflare login is needed.
git clone https://github.com/rociiu/talorys.git
cd talorys
npm install
npm run devCommands and code are distilled from the project's own documentation — always check the official repo for the latest.
When to use it
- You want a private AI assistant for tasks, notes and reminders without running or paying for a server
- You want an assistant whose memory of you is a list you can read, edit and delete
- You want recurring reminders and a daily task digest that fire even when the app is closed
- You want a working example of an AI agent built on Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects and Workers AI
